Plug in your device to the HDMI port on the tv and a wall outlet for power. In most cases, the USB port on your tv does not provide sufficient power for the device. Follow the setup instructions provided the device walks you through.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANY OTHER APPS ON YOUR DEVICE IF YOU BOUGHT A FIRESTICK! If you have other apps you want to keep, make sure to force stop them when using your service.
Due to the limited processing power of your Firestick device any other apps installed will still be playing in the background and can severely slow down your service.
When your device is done updating and setting up-
◦ At the Device’s Main Menu scroll to hover over Settings
◦ Click My Fire TV or My Device
◦ Choose Developer Options
NOTE-If you do not see Developer Options, go to -
Settings > My Fire TV > About.
Then select Fire TV Stick and click it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
Go back to the previous window and you will see Developer Options now.
◦ Click Apps from Unknown Sources
◦ Choose Turn On
◦ Return to the Home Screen
◦ Click on “Find” directly to the right of the word, “Home”.
◦ Press down once and click on, “Search”
◦ Type in, “Downloader”
◦ Select the Downloader app
◦ Click Download
◦ Click Open
◦ Click Allow
◦ Click OK
You can now use Downloader to Install apps
1. Enter Downloader app.
2. On the left side of the screen find and click on, “Browser”.
3. Move the cursor up to the address bar and enter code 2536910
4. Download and install
5. Press back on the remote
6. Delete the install file.
OK V4 Smarters
1. Go to apps (box to the left of the gear icon) and find Overkill
2. Press the button with the three lines on the remote and choose, “move to front”.
3. Create a profile name (you can create multiple profile names for different users to have different favorite channels saved)
4. Enter username you were given
5. Enter password you were given
6. Login
7. When you enter into the different categories from the Home Screen the first time it brings you to a menu with live tv, movies and tv shows.
8. Select live TV
9. You’ll be at a menu broken into subcategories.
10. You need to click on one of the sub categories and then you may search for channels using the search bar. Long press on a channel and you can save it to favorites. (I always suggest going to ALL first and typing in your home city so you do not have to keep looking for those)
11. At the main menu you can access our video on demand for movies and tv series by clicking on either tab. If you’re looking for something in particular that isn’t there please inquire with your rep
12. You can request to remove all categories not wanted or can inquire on how to parental lock them to remove from screen.
